Lighting Projects (LTP) recently used 19 Color Kinetics ColorBlast 12 wall-stained LED luminaires and 128 CK wide-angle iColor Cove NXT luminaires to decorate the newly built Patient Hotel, which are used primarily for the reception at the Patient Hotel reception, Patient Hotel is part of the London Greatmond Street Hospital. The newly installed lamps are mainly concentrated in the pre-reception of Hotel, which was proposed by Ove Arup. As we all know, lighting can play a very good therapeutic role in many aspects. The entire design constitutes a huge box, the center of the box is decorated with attractive works, and the lighting is programmed to achieve a wavy staggered effect.
Reeves was impressed and chose the ColorBlast 12 series of lamps, which are ideal for illuminating the floor down. At the same time, the series has uniform illumination and meets the needs of different places for brightness. These lamps are also the most economical lighting solutions. They meet the lighting cost budget requirements and also meet the objective needs of the hospital's actual lighting. As for the wall lighting of the hospital, Reeves chose the iColor Cove NXT LED luminaires with new wide-angle illumination. The reason for choosing these luminaires is also because of their wide illumination angle. In addition, the installation of these lamps is simple, and the space occupied by the lamps is installed. After the lamps are installed, the lights are reflected from the wall and illuminate the surface of each of the light boxes.
The hospital's collaboration with LTP included the complete installation, operation and programming of the lighting, which was mainly carried out by Jonathan Adkins and his design team, who had completed the task ahead of time and overcame the difficulties encountered in the on-site construction. The new lighting of GOSH Hospital uses the iPLayer 2 controller provided by CK. The controller can store a variety of lighting effects, and has the function of recalling the original lighting effect. With DMX signal control, it can simultaneously control 170 lamps with different addresses. Reeves also has 8 button memory books for the controller, manual operation is also very simple, also configured with local start and effect change selection.
