In the next 10 years or so, Jiangmen is confident that it will develop the LED industry to a scale of 300 billion yuan and rebuild a new Jiangmen. Yesterday, the reporter was informed that in order to achieve this wish, Jiangmen City increased its intelligence, and announced the establishment of an LED industry expert committee led by three academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with a total of nine experts, to provide suggestions for LED development. In the past three years, the annual growth rate of LED industry in Jiangmen City has exceeded 30%, and there are more than 100 LED companies and more than 1,000 affiliated companies. At the just-concluded LED industry development and technology innovation summit forum on both sides of the Guangdong and Taiwan sides, Jiang Zishi, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangmen Municipal Committee and deputy mayor, said that in the next 10 years, Jiangmen is confident that the LED industry will grow to 300 billion yuan and rebuild a new Jiangmen.
In order to promote the development of the LED industry, Wu Ziyan revealed that Jiangmen City will increase the intelligence level, and will employ nine experts including three academicians to set up a green (semiconductor) light source industry expert committee to make suggestions for LED development. In the next step, the city will also hold the Green Light International (Jiangmen) Expo to accelerate the development of green (semiconductor) light source research and development, e-commerce, exhibition transactions and financial services, and provide diversified services for the development of the LED industry.
