Reference Design for Zynq IIoT Application Power Solutions

Xilinx Zynq-7000 fully programmable SoC devices have been very popular since they were market-oriented and have been applied to many system designs. They are the most intelligent solutions for various system design problems, with unparalleled integration, high performance and low power. Consumable advantages. At the same time, this also brought great challenges to the design of the power module. Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) designed a power module for this purpose. Six MPS voltage conversion calibration chips are used, which are three MPM3630 3A converters, one MPM3610 1A converter and two LDO converters. (Figure 1 Zynq-7000 SoC power module designed by MPS)

The power module has 12 voltage channel outputs. The output voltages are 0.75V, 1.0V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V, respectively, which fully meet the power requirements of Zynq SoC devices.

In addition, TI has customized the Zynq-7000 power module, using multiple LMZ3 series modules, multiple LDOs, and a DDR termination regulator to provide all the power needed to power the FPGA. LM3880 for powering up and powering down. This power module also supports DDR3 memory devices. The important thing is that this design is easy to call for module design. The input power is 12V, the output current can be as high as 3A, and the output voltage includes 1V, 1.2V, 1.35V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 5V, which can fully satisfy the use of FPGA.
