The M820 family combines the industry's highest processing hardware codec engine with a highly flexible software processing CPU. In addition to the original functions such as multi-channel, high-definition image quality encoding and decoding of video, real-time access to video data and integration into the output video data stream, enabling a variety of video applications with added value. The new M820L is equipped with a coded SoC "MB86M30" and a multi-core processor "SC2A11", which integrates all functions on the PCI-e Low Profile interface card. Inserting the M820L into the PCI-e slot of the PC or server can be used flexibly as an accelerator to reduce the CPU encoding processing load. In addition, the MB86M30 on the M820L can also support HEVC decoding technology and 4K video, which can greatly enhance the user experience.

At the same time, Socionext also cooperated with Fujitsu of Japan to develop a video analysis module "FUJITSU Human Centric AI Zinrai", which also fully demonstrates the high performance of the M820L. In the demonstration, the M820L receives the signal from the camera and converts it into high-compression, high-quality video data for image processing and analysis, and extracts useful data into Zinrai's inference server for calculation, which is difficult to achieve in traditional cloud processing.
